League of Legends

Here is a great little gem I found and recently started to play. It is completely free to play and it is very well done. It is a DotA style game for those unfamiliar with the term it is basically a tug of war game. I am still figuring it out but you guys can sign up here and give it a try tell me what ya all think.

The games lead designer is the same guy who made the famous DotA All-Stars map for Warcraft 3. Icefrog had found a way to truly perfect the tug of war element along with leveling up and increasing your characters stats through items. You have many champions to choose from and no two are even remotely close to each other. With each character having different attributes along with different styles it leaves plenty of room finding that perfect champion for you.

As for the storyline each champion has his/her own back story which you can read in the lobby. This gives plenty of content for those who really want to know the characters. Other then that however there is really no other story and the whole idea of why you are fighting each other is kind of absent but really who needs a reason to destroy your opponents towers and inhibitors so your team can get out the super minions... really.

This game would appeal to all those who love any kind of DotA/ Tug of War type of game where every move counts and a single wrong turn can make or break the game. It is very appealing but at the same time it can also get frustrating for someone who does not have a whole lot of patience. The team might not be doing as good as you or someone might just ditch out right at the beginning and this can be frustrating for some. With this along with the average game lasting around 20-30 minutes it can be frustrating to take all the time to see a defeat banner shown over the screen.

It is extremely well done and it is free to play which really gives no one a reason not to try it out. If it turns out its not for you it really didn't cost you anything but time.
